Welcome to Residence Le Nuvole

Situated in the heart of Palermo, behind the Quattro canti, halfway point between the Cathedral and Maqueda street and also part of the ArabNorman itinerary, UNESCO Site since 2015, here, in a peaceful magic corner, you will find Le Nuvole: Residence, Art Gallery, library and even a cooking area! In a palace, which origins go back to the XIVth century, we invented a new and unique way to offer hospitality. We offer 6 rooms and suites and two apartments, all of which are named recalling Italo Calvino's novel “Invisible cities”. The interiors are decorated with design furniture, recycled antique pieces and new productions realised by skillful local artisans, which were planned and supervised by artist Gaetano Cipolla. From apartment Laudomia and its gorgeous doubleheight medieval mullioned window, to room Aglaura and its bathtub behind the handpainted folding screen, every room has inside an entire world to discover, a little city to experience which holds art works from the owner's collection. On the ground floor you will find the Contemporary Art Gallery and the library, managed by the nonprofit cultural Organisation Nuvole, these are spaces meant to be enjoyed: here we will welcome you at your arrival, and here we will offer you our fresh breakfast, prepared with local organic products. Art, history and culture, elegance, sobriety and efficiency, desire to create, trust in the future and love for Palermo: all this is Le Nuvole, a unique experience.

"Cities, like dreams, are made of desires and fears, even if the thread of their discourse is secret, their rules are absurd, their perspectives deceitful, and everything conceals something else."

Italo Calvino, Invisible Cities
